LCSW

CO-CLINICAL DIRECTOR

IN PERSON OR VIRTUAL

I am a licensed clinical social worker who has more than 10 years of clinical experience working with adolescents and adults in community mental health.  I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Master of Science degree in Social Work with a certificate in mental health.

My approach is trauma-informed and person-centered.  Using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I treat a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, trauma, codependency, compassion fatigue, life transitions, stress management.

In each session, I strive to create a therapeutic environment of non-judgment, openness, and curiosity in consideration of each person’s needs, strengths, and abilities. Lasting change is often built upon the accumulation of several, smaller adjustments in thought and behavior.  Each client I work with sets their own pace.  I’m a firm believer in each person’s autonomy and expertise in their own life. I find it helpful to focus on what is in the present, what is meaningful, and where the willingness resides with each person. I believe it to be a unique privilege to assist others in gaining insight, finding a path through their suffering, and generating lasting change aligning with their personal values.  My hope is to provide others with not only education and skills for coping but ultimately for healing, growth, and resiliency.
