What is Online Therapy?
Online therapy, also known as telehealth, is a type of psychotherapy that utilizes a secure and confidential video platform to meet with your therapist. Clients may easily attend sessions through their computer/laptop, tablet, or phone. This allows for a face-to-face experience that builds a warm, supportive, and caring relationship between you and our clinicians. Many clients have found online therapy as a more convenient and effective source of mental health treatment.
The use of online therapy has increased significantly over the last few years for several reasons:
Convenience. You are able to log in from your home, office, or any other confidential space that is available to you. There is no need to fight traffic and drive to an office. This means you can spend more time with family and doing things you find meaningful.
It is a very effective source of treatment. Clinical research has emphasized the value of online therapy. There has been a significant amount of support for online therapy as being equally effective as therapy conducted in an office for a variety of mental health concerns.
A clearer mind. The way we think about ourselves, others, and situations heavily influences our lives. By talking to one of our trained therapists, we can lessen the frequency and severity of intrusive, recurrent, and negative thoughts.
It is more comfortable. We get it, starting therapy can be a difficult and even scary experience. Online therapy can take the fear out of sitting in a waiting room and meeting a new person at an office. Rather, you can sit in the comfort of your home, in your favorite cozy chair with a cup of coffee or tea!
Wider availability. Online therapy has given opportunities to clients that live in rural areas. Rather than drive 30+ minutes to get to the nearest therapist (or not be able receive services at all), online therapy can give clients an effective source of mental health treatment.

Our state-of-the-art platform, TherapyNotes, is HIPPA-compliant and uses several measures of protection to ensure sessions are always confidential. We want you to be able to focus on healing and achieving your mental health goals, not the security of this process.
We want to make setting up and joining online sessions as easy as possible. Once the Clarity team creates your account, the only thing you have to do is enter your login information and join the session on the main page. Once you have entered the session, you and your therapist can start to create positive change in your life!
