Licensed Associate Professional Counselor

I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor working with the Clarity Counseling PGH office, providing both in-person and virtual counseling services to individuals, couples, and families.

I am passionate about walking alongside people, encouraging and equipping them to thrive and be resilient in their mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. My approach is holistic, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and psychoeducational. I focus on creating an empathetic, compassionate therapeutic relationship, working collaboratively with clients to achieve their goals and desired outcomes. I integrate evidence-based interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. My work with couples and families is informed by attachment theory and draws from models such as the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy. It is an honor to celebrate the progress my clients make and to take part in this meaningful chapter of their story. I welcome laughter, tears, moments of triumph, grief, and everything in between.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Religious Studies from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA, and a Master’s in Counseling (track: Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy) from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA. My clinical experience includes providing individual counseling to undergraduate students through Geneva College’s Health & Counseling Services. I have also provided disaster mental health care and psychological first aid to families and communities under the supervision of the Institute for Collective Trauma and Growth. Before pursuing professional counseling, I spent over eight years working with children and adolescents in both nonprofit and ministry settings, as well as in marketing and the creative arts. In my spare time, I enjoy crafting (and consuming) delicious coffee and sourdough bread and conquering any mini-golf course I can find!

I personally attest to a Christian faith, which led me to develop a deep interest in the compassionate care of others. If explicitly requested by the client, I am delighted to incorporate my Christian faith into the counseling process.
